We offer a range of options for advertising and listing your accommodation with us. The format is simple and effective and enables people to find accommodation quickly and easily.
Whilst the website is mostly aimed at small residential Argyll bed and breakfast accommodation, we will consider listing guest houses, hotels and other businesses that offer a b&b tariff to customers. Details of the large hotel supplement are at the bottom of this page.
Free Listing
You may have your bed and breakfast listed on our website for free, subject to availability. Free listings are restricted to displaying the name of your accommodation, a contact telephone number and 30 words. No image may be displayed. Your listing will be placed at the bottom of the relevant page in alphabetical order (a-z). An example of this listing is below.

Standard Listing - £19.99 + VAT per year
The standard listing is priced at only £19.99 + VAT per year. Text is increased to a maximum of 60 words. A photo thumbnail is allowed. A cover email address is added (e.g. youraccommodation@accommodationscotland.org.uk) and enquiries will be sent to the email address provided to us while a duplicate of any enquiries that are sent are kept for our internal performance monitoring. No web address may be displayed.
Maximum thumbnail image size for this listing is 160 x 120 pixels in size.

Advanced Listing - £49.99 + VAT per year
The advanced listing is priced at only £29.99 + VAT per year and includes a page listing and full accommodation page. Text is set to a maximum of 60 words for the page listing and unlimited for the accommodation page. A photo thumbnail is allowed and a maximum of 1 large image and three side images for the accommodation page. A unique cover email address is added (e.g. youraccommodation@accommodationscotland.org.uk) is added and enquiries will be sent to the email address provided to us while a duplicate of any enquiries that are sent are kept for our internal performance monitoring. Your accommodation will be added to our large Google Map. Links to send an email, map and more information are included in the page listing. Three awards can be listed on the page listing and two (including Visit Scotland grading) can be listed on the section listing. Video clips can be added and viewed from your page.

Premium Gold Listing - £99.99 + VAT per year
The advanced listing is priced at only £59.99 + VAT per year and includes a page listing and full accommodation page. Text is set to a maximum of 60 words for the page listing and unlimited for the accommodation page. A photo thumbnail is allowed and a maximum of 1 large image and 12 side images for the accommodation page. A cover email address forwarder will be added (e.g. youraccommodation@accommodationscotland.org.uk) and enquiries will be sent to the email address provided to us while a duplicate of any enquiries that are sent are kept for our internal performance monitoring. Links to send an email, map and more information are included in the page listing. Three awards can be listed on the page listing and two (including Visit Scotland grading) can be listed on the section listing.
The premium listing attracts the best traffic and is priced at only £59.99 + VAT per year. Each of the premium listings will be placed at the top of the page and order will be delivered alphabetically in ascending order. The premium listing includes the same as the advanced listing with the following added features;

All B&Bs, Guest Houses and Hotels that offer a B&B tariff may advertise without prejudice on the Argyll B&B website.
Reccommended Feature - £79 + VAT (3 months)
If you would like to add your accommodation to the front page of our website this will cost an additional £79 + VAT for a period of 3 months. The recommended section is limited to only 7 providers at any one time with a waiting list in place for this listing.
To qualify for this listing you must:- be an existing premium gold listing subscriber, and have submitted three individual customer feedback from your accommodation within the previous 6 months of trading. These will be featured on your page listing.
Sponsored & Premium Advertising
To attract the most traffic from Obanhotels.org we advise that an advert is taken on our website. There are a choice of three options and are rated differently.
Top Sponsor Advert
An advert can be placed above or instead of the the main page splash image at the top of the page for the maximum exposure to our website visitors. Price for this advert is £99 + VAT per year for the home page, and £49 + VAT for each main section (Kintyre, Cowal & Dunoon etc). Book this premium slot in advance to secure your 12 month advert. Maximum size of advert is 940 pixels wide and 180 pixels high.
Side Advert
A cost effective and quick way of capturing clicks, these small adverts featured only on the home page are in the location and on the page that will obtain the greatest page views and therefore increase the chance that you may attract further custom. The advert would be placed on the left hand side of the home page measuring 160 pixels wide and 120 pixels high and can link either to your page or direct to your website. Price for a home page advert is only £29 + VAT per year.

Large Hotel Supplement
The impact of medium and large hotels can sometimes be detrimental to sustaining small residential b&b's particularly in Argyll where many rely on the income for their living costs. To ensure fair competition we have introduced a supplement scale for large hotels and guest houses, this allows large providers to be listed but at the same time the buying power of these does not impact fairness of trade through our website. The following supplements apply;
Standard Listing
1-6 rooms - no supplement
7-12 rooms - £10.00 + VAT per annum
13-20 rooms - £20.00 + VAT per annum
21-30 rooms - £30.00 + VAT per annum
30+ rooms - £40.00 + VAT per annum
Advanced Listing
1-6 rooms - no supplement
7-12 rooms - £15.00 + VAT per annum
13-20 rooms - £25.00 + VAT per annum
21-30 rooms - £35.00 + VAT per annum
30+ rooms - £45.00 + VAT per annum
Premium Listing

7-12 rooms - £25.00 + VAT per annum
